Susana S
Ever since I first got online in 1999, I knew I wanted to make my living sitting at my computer. In 2005 I had my first opportunity. I was a stay at home Mum for the first time in many years and I started buying badly listed items on eBay and reselling them for a profit. I became a dab hand at writing eBay sales listings, but the lure of a good full time wage pulled me back into the world of employment. (I will never return!)
My previous careers have all centred around supporting, advising, teaching and co-ordinating. I've been a young people's adviser, family support worker, project manager, freelance trainer, charity director and then counsellor. They may seem wasted considering that I've worked online for the last 2.5 years, but surprisingly there are many overlaps and all that knowledge has been put to good use!
*Making Complex Things Easy to Understand*
As a trainer I learned how to break down topics and information into clear steps, as well as make complex information accessible to any kind of audience. These skills have helped me present written information in easy to understand, logical sequences. Take a look at my HubPages Step by Step article for an example.
My psychology background has enabled me to gear my webpages to specific types of searchers so that they find just what they are looking for, in the language that is right for them. I've also put my love of psychology to good use by writing about topics that I am particularly interested in including dream interpretation and relationships.
Working with, and supporting, young people and families gave me excellent insight into the kinds of issues they struggle with which is why I enjoy writing no-nonsense articles on sexual health and parenting problems.
**Content Writing**
When I first decided to work online full time I did a lot of content writing for clients as a way to supplement my passive earnings. I do less and less writing nowadays, but I still pop into freelancer.com now and again when times are tough.
**SEO**
As for SEO, I specialise in optimization and PPC for small to medium sized ecommerce sites. My most recent client's sales have grown from $15,000 per month, to in excess of $70,000 per month. Let's just say he's a very happy man! If your website needs help feel free to contact me through my profile link above.
