Which Are the Best Websites for Article Marketing?

If you're looking to market your website or blog through article marketing, here are the best writing sites online to use for that purpose. All of the following article writing sites give DoFollow backlinks. Most (4 of the 5) offer revenue sharing with Adsense as well as other affiliates and advertising programs which means that not only can you get increased traffic and backlinks, you can double your chances of earning.

HubPages

HubPages is a great online writing venue and can be used for a variety of purposes from article marketing, making a passive income or simply trying your hand at writing in general. In terms of article marketing, HubPages gets the love from Google if you write totally unique, well optimized articles of reasonable length (700 words plus).

HubPages that meet these basic requirements and that have been well optimized for your keyphrases can get ranked quickly and highly on the search results which means that you can drive high traffic levels to your websites or blogs. To gain DoFollow backlinks from Hubpages as well as good traffic, your author score needs to be over 75 and your individual article score over 45. In addition to these benefits, HubPages uses a revenue share model, so you can earn at both ends. Earn from Adsense clicks at Hubpages as well as generate more revenue from your website or blog. Definitely one of the best writing sites online for article marketing.

Using HubPages for Article Marketing

Ezine

EzineArticles is often the preferred venue to write marketing articles online. Articles can be short (min 250 words) and all links in your resource box are DoFollow. All articles are human reviewed which means that it can often take a week or two to get articles approved.

There was a time when Ezine articles were always ranked high in the search results and this drove high traffic to the sites the articles were marketing, but in my opinion and experience it's not so good now. Still a good place to get easy backlinks, but I think there are better options available for article marketing especially if you want to make extra Adsense revenue.

Squidoo

On of the oldest writing sites on the web, Squidoo is a favorite among internet marketers because all links are DoFollow. Squidoo articles also do well in Google search results, not quite a good as HubPages, but still worth the effort if you're looking for places to post for article marketing purposes and to drive traffic to an external website or blog.

Squidoo offers a 50/50 split on revenue generated from adsense, amazon, ebay or cafepress sales, but have a weird way of distributing funds that is not as transparent as many of the other writing sites listed here. Money is pooled and then distributed based on your PayRank Scale. PayRank scales are determined by the number of page views you get to your articles and how many articles you have.

Bukisa

An up and coming article writing site, Bukisa also has the advantage of offering revenue sharing as well as DoFollow links. You get paid based on page views and your articles' Bukisa index. So for instance if your Bukisa index is $4 you'll get $4 for every 1000 unique page views your article recieves, which is a lot like the system that Associated Content uses. Bukisa is open to everyone and as long as your have a PayPal account you can earn here as well as use it for article marketing. You can also earn well by referring new members and will earn on three tiers of referrals. That means you can make a percentage on your friends articles, your friends friends articles and their friends articles too.

InfoBarrel

Info Barrel's or articles, are human reviewed, at least until you can get pre-approved status. To get this you need to ensure your articles are well written and not all marketing one particular online venue (such as your own blog or website), though you are alllowed 2 self serving links on each of your articles. Links are DoFollow and they offer a 75% revenue share with adsense. They also offer revenue sharing with Chikita. All content must be orginal. Definitely a writing site to utilize for article marketing.

This is a useful list of sites. What about Qondio? How do you rate that site?

Hi Tony :) I did look into Qondio a while back and didn't sign up because they wanted $5 upfront. I don't know if they still do or not. Also I have never, in any of my thousands of searches on the web, come across an article posted at Qondio! So based on that my estimation is pretty poor. Thanks for visiting me :)

I haven't tried Bukisa since I had read some articles stating that it pays very low, sometimes even lower than Helium. I don't like Squidoo either. For me, Hubpages and InfoBarrel are just great places for serious writers.

Brilliant! On my to-do list.

Squidoo allows you to put in around 2-3 links per article, so the site provides a lot of value. Ezines had a slide in rankings after Google's algorithm change, though.

I think it's time for Ezine to stop appearing on such lists. Aside from the facts that they do not offer any ad share, and that the average web surfer considers it a spam farm, Ezine was heavily pandalized by Google's algorithm updates.

I agree. Ezine has definitely lost its mojo.

Hi Susana! I saw you on the most successful hubbers list and I wanted to know how long it took you to see results. I am still new here but am confident that I will make it one day. :) I really liked your hub I will be looking into some of those sites soon. Thanks!

Hi Kayla, it depends what you mean by results :) Hit my first adsense payout after 4 months. Things really started picking up at about 6 - 10 months in.

Thanks for the useful information. How have these sites been affected by Google Panda? I see tussin thinks Ezine has been smashed by Panda.
